Saulo Madrid works in new media design, architecture, video, responsive media and develops multi platform dissemination tools as a communication director. He collaborates with an international scope of designers, museum’s, and artist through writing and consulting to enhance each project.
Saulo Madrid is the cultural producer and director of communications for the Topological Media Lab (TML). Previously he has worked as both the assistant director of communications and Artistic Director for the Canadian Center for Architecture (CCA) where he first collaborated on a multidisciplinary installation with the TML, for Nuit Blanche 2009 and for the 20th Anniversary of the CCA. Based between Paris, and Montreal, he has collaborated with Rick Owens, Scarlett Rouge and ILU as artistic director in creating a fully immersive installation at the designer’s headquarters in Paris. In addition he has also collaborated with Jean-Hubert Martin, Conservateur Général du Patrimoine de France, on an upcoming Fine-Art exhibit at the National Gallery of the Grand Palais. In the past year, Saulo Madrid created a installation for Fashion’s Night Out at the Alexander Wang flagship store during September 2011 Fashion week. Most recently, he has written and collaborated with Rad Hourani’s 5th press release, as well as a collaboration with What’s Contemporary issue. Saulo Madrid is the editor for the News section of What’s Contemporary as well as a contributor for the future issues online and artistic collaborations.
He holds a BA in Art History and Architecture History from Harvard University and Boston University and a Master’s of Philosophy of Aesthetics and Phenomenology from La Sorbonne as well as a Communications Specialization Degree from Concordia University.
